Team Gorman is very excited to announce that January 16th-18th 2015 we will hold a Contest Prep Conference all weekend long, hosted by Bryan University in Springfield Missouri. With the classes and agenda located below you can see that we are working hard bring you the absolute best contest prep seminar you have ever been a part of. Our goal with this prep conference will be to give every single person attending not only the absolute best up to date info and science on training, nutrition, supps, and other aspects of the physique sports but to have a gathering for 3 days that will leave you motivated, charged up and ready to KILL your 2015 preps.
The Schedule of Events:
Friday– 4 pm until 8 pm- Check-in and Welcome at STRONG GYM. Goodies will be distributed here, shirts and packets with all the powerpoint slides and info for the following day’s classes, name tags and passes to train at STRONG all weekend long. STRONG was voted best Strength Gym in the Nation on www.powerliftingwatch.com for 2014. You wont find a more hardcore gym to train at for our conference.
Saturday– Registration 8am – 830 am for late arrivals, location is Bryan University in Springfield Mo. From 9 am – 4 pm Contest Prep lectures take place, snacks are also provided. We will also be giving out door prizes in drawings to be given away from sponsors and other cool goodies we are getting ready. Right now we are going to be covering the following topics below, in detail with science and evidence to back up the information along with first hand experience from years working in this field:
Classes begin and 9 am and end around 4:30 pm.
Flexible Dieting and IIFYM- How to get SHREDDED for your next show eating foods you want to eat.
How to Start Your Contest Prep- Diet set up, training and cardio recommendations, supplement protocols, how far out, etc.
An Advanced Look at Food Digestion and How it Impacts Nutrient Timing.
Metabolic Damage, Adaptation, Reverse Dieting and Restoration- How to not only avoid harming your metabolism, how to fix it if it happens, but most importantly how to set yourself up for success by staying leaner after shows as well.
Advanced Training- DUP. Learn all about Daily Undulating Periodization and how to put a training program together.
Ketogenic Dieting and Refeeds- how to incorporate this into your prep plan towards the end of prep to get the absolute leanest physique possible. The science backing it, myths and facts, refeeds and amounts with formulas to calculate, and real world experience will be talked about in this one.
Round Table Q and A.
5:30-9:30 pm Open Training at STRONG GYM. (optional posing class done here at 6 pm for those interested, to be headed up by John Gorman, DFAC World Champion and top natural bodybuilding champion Robert Johnson and IFPA Pro Matt “The Hulk” Holcomb. Women’s posing will be taught by IFPA figure pro Kristina Russell and DFAC figure pro Leslie Franklin)
Sunday– STRONG GYM: 10am-12 pm Group workout at STRONG and Refeed! Food will be provided, and in typical Team Gorman fashion your favorite foods are encouraged to be brought if you would like. We will have things such as pancakes, ice cream, poptarts, chips, cookies, the whole nine yards to enjoy after you get done working out for the day at STRONG. This is a great time to train, eat and get to hang out with people of like-minded interest, and also a good time to network.
Please note, this will not be your regular Contest Prep Seminar you see each year with a group of people sitting around in a circle talking- this will be done on a projector screen in a classroom setting, with powerpoint slides and handouts given to you, and all the science based data to support the research available as well. We want to make this the best contest prep seminar out there with the best new cutting edge topics to be discussed.
